Help with New Setup

Looking for recommendations on what to buy. Reviews have me leaning towards an attic setup with a DB4/8 or ClearStream4, but I'm out of my domain when it comes to antennas.

I have an old Dish Network antenna outside that I don't need (attached to our fence about head level). I was thinking about mounting an outdoor antenna there and using the existing coaxil. My other consideration in an attic mount (no ugly antenna and better acces to AC power if needed for additional devices). Roof-mount is not an option as I rent.

Thoughts?

You can edit out your address if you want, your report is fine. I would use exactly none of the antennas you listed, as the PBS station is on ch. 7. You need a very modest high-VHF/UHF antenna, such as a Winegard 7694P, AntennaCraft HBU-22, or RCA ANT-751 aimed at the network stations due east. You could try the Terk HDTVi indoor antenna if you can take it back if it doesn't work for you.

Besides being easy to setup/install you can turn it to the north if you are interested in the programing on those stations. FWIW, real UHF 18 carries local, RTV network and sports according to rabbit ears http://www.rabbitears.info/market.ph...n=WLCN#station

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
