Sounds like your TV is set to only receive cable frequencies. Go into the menu & set to scan for TV, not cable channels.

Sounds like the TV is set for cable channels. Go into the menu & scan for TV, not cable channels.

WMDO is actually on channel 8, so that is why you are seeing it now.

You should be able to connect your TV to the receiver using the optical output. I can't imagine any newer flat screen not having one. Even the inexpensive Insignia, Dynex & Hisense models have them....
