Impressive antenna. If the Hoverman really is a fractal antenna, has anybody ever considered changing it to a 2rd iteration by adding in some more kinks in the wire?

Do they have polarity? Would signal be affected if you hooked them up backwards? I don't really see anything on them that looks like a polarity key but then again I haven't really looked at one...

Well its on the roof now, and it works quite well. I added a preamp and its that much better. I wouldn't say it blows away the CM4221 but it certainly makes the weak analogs come in much stronger...

If anybody's scared of posting their address, here's a tip....post a neighbor's address instead. They may be only 200 feet away from your house but you retain your anonymity, the antenna direction...

I've tried chain link fence pole. Its almost the same size but not quite the same as an antenna mast in diameter...grrr. It is cheap stuff though, and masts are way overpriced as we all have found...

I've never even thought of that. While its not practical for antennas like the CM4221, I can see its perfectly fine for other clamp-on types, provided the edges are smooth or grommeted so the cable...
