Best indoor antenna option for this scenario

Here is my TV fool report:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...5b94d1ba8b2ec3

I live in a relatively wooded neighborhood and would like to just do an indoor antenna. Any suggestions as to the best omni-directional indoor antenna (prefer not to use rabbit ears and constantly adjust them)? I am only interested in the network channels and PBS.

Thanks in advance,
Tarheel

Greetings Tarheel,

Is this a TV top antenna application? Or are you looking at an attic installation?

If we know a little more about where you want to place the antenna we can be a bit more specific.

Regards.

Near the tv. Was looking at the mahu leaf.

Before buying a $40 - $60 antenna, why not try an $8 one. :)

My sister-in-law bought this one. She is about the same distance from towers as you (17 miles) and she gets every channel she wants. It may struggle with the towers that are 25 - 30 miles but there is only one way to find out.

If it doesn't cut it, your only out $8.

Or, if you need/want a cool little project...

Because you have VHF channels present, you'll want to consider an antenna that provides coverage of the UHF band and the High-VHF band, real channels 14 -51 and 7-13 respectively. The Mohu Leaf and fractal referred to are UHF only designs.

Consider the Terk HDTVi (not the HDTVa). http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=2828
