Help with Reception Channel 7 in Phoenix

Has anyone had any luck receiving KAZT 7 in North Phoenix or what type of antenna to use, near 19ave and Union Hills

KAZT is broadcast on real CH-36, so a small, non-amplified UHF antenna outdoors should have little trouble receiving the signal. Most folks in the Phoenix market would find an RCA ANT-751 quite capable.

Is this a , house , town home , condo , apartment , mobile home , motor home , or , etc.??

What floor?

What is the top floor of the building??

What directions do , windows , patios , balconies , face??

Please make a tvfool radar plot report.

Use the Exact address and make the antenna height 25 feet.

How many Tv's are/will be connected??

Thanks for the reply, I am at *Redacted by Moderator* Phoenix Az, 85027. I have a Yagi style outdoor TV Antenna about 25ft on my roof. I think its VHF/UHF but im not sure. There is also a mountain a few miles south of me. I receive almost all of the local channels except channel 7.1 There is only one TV connected to this antenna.

Thanks for providing enough information to see your actual conditions. The terrain south of you is a significant factor.

I would expect you and nearby neighbors to need a larger antenna. The Winegard HD7698P or Antennacraft HBU-55 would be worth considering. For a short run (50' or less) to one TV, you may be able to run with no amplifier. However, an Antennas Direct CPA-19 would be useful in installations with splitters and/or longer cable runs.

I hooked up the The Winegard HD7698P about 25Ft up. I receive a better signal on the channels I receive and got a couple more channels during a scan. But still no Channel 7. Should I go up another 5 ft or hook up an amp?

If you can go up, by all means try that. Also, try changing the aim just a few degrees left and right of 'center', rescanning each time. If you're fighting multipath interference, the small change in aim point may null out enough of the offending reflected signal.

An amplifier such as the CPA-19 will help only if there is a usable signal at the output of the antenna. You'll need the amp if you connect more than one TV.

I ended up getting the channel master 40ft telescoping mast and my antenna is about 30ft, So im finally receiving channel 7 now.
