Reception from Bayfield, ON

Hi All,

I'm new to TV Fool and I Love this site!!
I'm looking to let go of IPTV (over the phone/Internet) television service for the best long range OTA antenna I can possibly get. It seems that I am in the Red Grey zone for all channels.
1. TV Fool report for my location: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...9e742d51c3c151
2. Antenna elevation approximately 25 to 30 feet above ground over the roof exposed to elements.
3. I have no existing equipment worth mentioning, but am willing to spend anywhere upwards to $800.00 for long term results.
4. I am looking to feed 4 recently purchased HD TV's.
5. I back onto a forest 60 feet from our house and live in a densely treed area less than a mile from Lake Huron.
Any and all reception channels would be appreciated especially networks.

Thank you in advance, I'm ready to get to work on this!!
Peacefully,
Hahnhawk

Can you budget some money to install a small tower if need be? After looking at your report it is evident that you will only get a few analog signals and perhaps one digital signal at the current height that you give. If you have the money for a small tower, rerun your report with some different heights to see if there is much of an improvement in your Noise Margin (NM) on the channels in red on your report. Figure anything over Zero to plus One right now will be gettable if the strength improves. The trees on your property are going to be a problem just as they are on my own. I've found in my current situation because of the trees I have a tough time getting a reliable picture on a signal with a NM less than 3.0 on the plus side.

I recommend a Winegard HD7698P antenna with a Winegard HDP-269 preamp aimed at about 166 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. Here are places to buy antennas and ect. , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.3starinc.com , http://www.starkelectronic.com . For better reception I will like to see radar reports for 40 and 60 feet antenna height.
