Newb Antenna advise

Hi guys I am looking into getting an antenna but unsure if I will be able to pull the Indianapolis stations or not. Ft. Wayne stations should not be an issue, but would really like to know if it's possible to get the Indy stations in that 211 degree direction. I'm looking to mount on the roof approx 20 ft high Thanks

The Indy Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels are Very Weak Signal Strength.

The Only Way to discover how many and what channels are receive is to install a Big Antenna.

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

HBU55 antenna aimed at about 216 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , Do Not trust a cell phone compass.

Can also by the HBU55 antenna at , http://www.amazon.com.

--------------

Install the HBU55 antenna above the Peak Of The Roof in such a manner that the roof and building are not , obstructing , impeding , blocking , reception in the directions of , South West , South South East , North East.

The idea is to get the antenna Up In The Air , to clear obstructions to reception.

--------------

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

10G201 preamplifier.

Can also buy the 10G201 preamplifier at , http://www.amazon.com.

--------------

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

For 4 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-4D , 4 way splitter.

Buy the HFS-2D , HFS-3D , HFS-4D , splitters at , http://www.amazon.com , or , http://www.hollandelectronics.com.

--------------

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

Use the , ronard(911) , 5 foot tripod antenna mount.

Use the , ronard(4560) , eave antenna mount.

http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html.
Measure around the chimney and use a , ronard(2212) , ronard(2218) , ronard(2224) .

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at , http://www.ronard.com , or , http://www.amazon.com.

---------------------------

As always , trees and tree ;leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Practice for Reliable Reception is to install the HBU55 antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and building.

The directions of reception at your location are , South West , South South East , North East.

--------------

In addition to what is received in the Indy direction.

Some of the Fort Wayne Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels will Also Be received through the back of the HBU55 antenna.

The ONLY WAY To Discover what and how many channels are received is to install the HBU55 antenna.

--------------

Antenna rotation with a antenna rotator Is Not recommended.

Must Wait for antenna to rotate.

Antenna rotation Is Not channel surfing friendly.

Antenna rotation Is Not recording friendly.

And their Will Be Domestic Situations about the direction the antenna is aimed.

I would also investigate signal conditions at higher mounting heights...
