The reception at your location is Weak Signal Strength , install a Big Antenna.

-->Many<-- channels will be received.

Above the roof in such a manner that the roof and house are not impeding and blocking reception in the directions of , South East , East.

Install a Winegard HD7084P All channel antenna aimed at about , 116 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Old School magnetic compass to aim antenna.

_______

Install a Winegard LNA-200 'Boost' XT amplifier.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative effect on reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

The best practice is to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.

_______

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the , 'Air Channels' or ' Antenna Channels' , in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some digital tv's will Automatic channels scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select , 'Air Channels' ~ 'Antenna Channels'.

Scan for channels.

The bigger, the better. But before we talk about that, how's the view of the horizon ESE of your home, from the roof? If you can see the sunrise, you're good. If you get lots of morning shade, trouble. Give us the scoop.

So for antenna, in general, big will capture as much signal as possible. It has to be full VHF/UHF. A decent medium directional antenna would probably do the job, but you could be marginal on some of the weaker stations on the list. Increasing the size boosts that in your favor.
