Antenna advice

Greetings, What does anyone think of this setup?
1. Clearstream 2 with Clearstream 5.
2. UHF+VHF combiner.
3. CPA19 ClearStream Pre-Amplifier Kit.
4. RG6 co-axle cable.
Location data link below.
Am I out of luck? Is this just wishful thinking?
Live in a valley, with high trees NW to NE.
Thanking all in advance for any advice

I'm pretty sure you will need higher-gain (read, narrower beamwidth) antennas for both bands. Tigerbangs is the expert for your area, so let's see if he has the time to help.

Thank you Dave.
I will be standing by for any help/suggestions.
PS. My weather radio station is KNHWOLFE5, If anyone is interested.
Mike
Note: The last time we used an antenna was in 1994, I am just tired of paying cable fees.

Tv Antennas and Reception

The FCC web site shows that , W33AK is transmitting on UHF 33 not VHF 3 , And W39AR is transmitting on UHF 39 not VHF 4. This being the case , a Big antenna to receive the VHF low band channels of 2 thru 6 will not be needed and a smaller antenna can be used. I recommend a Winegard HD7697P antenna mounted on a Channel Master CM9521A rotor , to rotate the antenna to the stations to the north east , the one station to the south east and the stations to the south west. Here is how to aim a antenna , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. A preamp will not be needed. Here are some antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/engineered-rotor-ready-chimney-mout-3324.html. Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.starkelectronic.com , http://www.3starinc.com. Here is the FCC information for W33AK and W39AR , http://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/tvq?call=W33AK , http://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/tvq?call=W39AR

Read and understand about , REAL Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Virtual Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Analog Broadcast Tv Channels , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695. Here are some tv guides , http://www.zap2it.com , http://www.tv.yahoo.com , http://www.tv.entertainment.excite.com , Most tv guides list the channel numbers as the virtual channel numbers.

Your proposed set-up can't deal with the multiple directions that the antennas must be aimed to receive all the stations.

Mull over these options;

rotator
multiple antennas with combining
multiple antennas with switching
poor reception or missing some stations

Which makes sense to you?
