Help in Fort Garland, Co

I need help in Fort Garland Co area in finding equipment and stations to aim for. Just moving into area (SCDR) and only 1 grainy analog (Ch 39) so far. What do I need to pull in Pueblo, Co Springs, maybe even Denver?? Maybe it would be more realistic to aim for New Mexico. Our zip ia 81133. Mountain ranges all around us,but I need help and direction/suggestions as I dont know where to start

Start with making and posting a Tvfool report for the reception location.

Go to the Tvfool home page and click on , >>Start MAPS<< ,

Use the Exact address to make the report.

Make the antenna height in the report 25 feet above ground.

Also make and post 2 more reports with antenna heights of 40 and 60 feet antenna heights above ground.

If the Exact address does not work to make the report.

Then use the zip code as a starting place , and move the pointer on the map to the Exact reception location and make and post the reports with antenna heights of , 25 , 40 , 60 , feet antenna heights above ground.

Thanks. Based on the way it looks, what antenna would you recommend for that area? Anyone, what antenna. We don't live up there full time, so we wont have a lot of time to try out different antennas, we need someone's best starting point, hopefully from the area that could save us a few steps. I will never realistically get the antenna 60 ft off the ground. Maybe 20, realistically 10 to 15 but we are at 8500 ft elevation or about 1000 ft above the valley that surrounds us. Please recommend a good antenna that will give us the most bang for the buck even if it takes a few extra feet of cable

You need to post the link to your report so we can see the situation. Mark the location as precisely as possible.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , ATCS-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

DO NOT channel scan for -Only- Analog channels.

DO NOT channel Scan for cable Tv channels.

-----------------------------------------------------

The Repeater/Translator Tv transmitters are to the South West and West.

-----------------------------------------------------

Here is information of the Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

http://www.rabbitears.info/market.ph...allsign=125434

And here is some information I found about KENY-LP , UHF channel 39.

It looks like KENY is transmitting a Analog signal and has a application to transmit Digital.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...One_affiliates.

http://www.livestream.com/kenytv

---------------------------------------

K32IK-D , UHF channel 32 , KTSC , PBS.

K49LW-D , UHF channel 49 , KOB , NBC and This Tv.

Are Very Weak signal strength.

And the other Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels on up the channel list are Weak signal strength.

As a , Positive , the tvfool report is showing all the Tv stations as being LOS=Line Of Sight - Reception.

-------------------

The receivable Digital and Analog Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

The Current UHF TV channels that are transmitted and received in the , USA , Canada and Mexico are , 14 thru 51.

Recommend install a UHF antenna that will have Maximum reception ability.

Install a , Antennas Direct , DB8e antenna.

Above the Roof in such a manner that reception is not , obstructed , impeded , blocked , by the roof and building , install a , DB8e antenna aimed at about 211 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

-------------------------

For 1 or 2 Tv's connected a antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

-------------------------

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

http://www.ronard.com/909911.html.
Use the , ronard(911) , 5 foot tripod antenna mount.

http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html.
Use the , ronard(4560) , eave antenna mount.

http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html.
Measure around the chimney and use a , ronard(2212) , ronard(2218) , ronard(2224) .

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at , http://www.ronard.com , or , http://www.amazon.com.

---------------------

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. .

http://www.amazon.com.

---------------------

Home Depot and Lowes have , TOP RAIL , chain link fence , PIPE , that works well for antenna mast/pipe. The price is Low Dollars.

--------------------

The tvfool report is showing that all the receivable Tv channels are , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

Except for 2 Analog Broadcast Tv Stations , KENY UHF channel 39.

And K51DM channel 51 , SON LIFE , a religion network.

-------------------------------------------------------

As you can see , the Tvfool Digital Current Plus Pending Applications Included Tvfool Radar Report and Channel List shows all of the receivable Tv stations in 1 direction South West , except for KENY channel 39 , that is to the West at 268 degree magnetic compass direction.

If KENY is not reliably received with both reception panels of the DB8e antenna aimed at the main group of Tv stations to the South West , then aim 1 of the reception panels of the DB8e antenna more in the direction of KENY.

Fort garland tv

I am in the San Ranches and I put up a deepfringe antenna with an amplifier and I pick up 19 channels. Most from new Mexico but get 11 from Co springs. Works great. I have it at 30 ft.
