Triad NC Signal Help

Hello everyone. I finally cut the cord in May of this year after being a 15-year Dish Customer. It was a fantastic decision, but I'm still working out a few problems with my OTA reception. Namely, I can not receive my local NBC (WXII) or Ion (WGPX) affiliates. Here's my TV Fool Signal Analysis Report:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...ec2f116e3b64ba

I have a ClearStream 2 Long Range Indoor/Outdoor DTV Antenna mounted near the southeastern corner of my home on a 7-foot pole. It picks up all other local Triad affiliates perfectly as situated. I have it facing to the west. When looking at the signal strength on my TiVo box, it can sense that WXII and WGPX are there and register a pretty decent signal, but not enough of one to lock them in.

If I turn the antenna to the east, I can pick up many Raleigh affiliates, but still no NBC or Ion. If your advice can help me lock a complete swathe of broadcast affiliates from the Raleigh area, I'd be willing to do it. I'm local to Greensboro, but it's not a big deal.

Thanks for your time and assistance.

You will need to aim the antenna to the north northwest with a decent line of sight to pick up those two stations. Make certain the antenna isn't aimed point plank into your own roof, your neighbor's house, or a big tree. Get the antenna up in the air while you're at it if you used a satellite dish yard mount post.

That may be why I'm not picking up those two stations, then. I can't aim the antenna to the northwest because my house would be right in the way. Could the stations' signals potentially be strong enough to penetrate through my home?

You can try it, but don't expect miracles.
You're much better off, just mounting it correctly the first time.

Some signals may already be borderline, so there's really no need to aggravate a situation that you have perfect control over.

When you say "mount it correctly the first time", what do you mean?

As to "aggravate the situation", I don't follow what you're implying either.

Thanks.

Mount the antenna above the house.
To expect a signal to travel through a house, is a crap shoot, at best.
You are already having problems receiving stations. Don't make it worse, by blocking the signal.

I'm simply reinforcing what has already been said.
