antenna advice

Hello

Thinking of buying RCA ANT751 mount outside and 14 feet above the ground would this work for me or is there a better setup. Looking to receive channels in green and Yellow, the ones in grey may be fine if the antenna is not to big

My signal analysis report is at http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...ec2f3ddfa7f63c

Thanks

Alfred67

The ANT751 antenna will most likely work Ok at your reception location.

The ANT751 antenna is designed to receive the VHF high band channels 7 thru 13 and the Current UHF band channels 14 thru 51 the best.

Your reception location does have 1 VHF low band channel , channel 2 , CHBX-TV , CTV , is Very Strong Signal Strength , and will be received by the ANT751 antenna because the Signal Strength Is So Strong.

-------------

The weakest signal strength Tv station is WGTQ-DT , Real VHF high band channel 8 , ABC and NBC.

Aim the ANT751 antenna at WABQ.

Aim the ANT751 at about 167 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas.

http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a , cell phone , tablet and etc. compass.

Most Digital Tv's have a Signal Strength Meter and some Digital Tv's also have a Signal Quality Meter.

As always , the antenna aim and location can be adjusted for best reception.

-------------------------------

A antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required for , 1 , 2 , 3 , Tv's connected.

-------------------------------

Also know this.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own , attic , roof , building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

The Best Practice for Reliable Reception is to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions in the directions of reception including your own , attic , roof , building.

The directions of reception at your location are , South South East and North East.

Install the ANT751 antenna at a location that is clear of obstructions in the directions of reception.

--------------

Tvfool is showing that your reception location has a mix of.

NTSC Analog broadcast Tv station channels.

CHBX-TV Real VHF low band channel 2 , CTV.
and
CHCH-TV Real UHF band channel 38 , Independent Super Station.

--------

ATSC Digital broadcast Tv stations channels.

CIII-DT Real UHF band channel 15 , Global.

WWUP-TV Real VHF high band channel 10 CBS and FOX.

WGTQ-DT Real VHF high band channel 8 ABC and NBC.

----------------------------

The Tv will need to channel scan for.

NTSC Analog broadcast Tv channels.

and

ATSC Digital broadcast Tv channels.

--------------------------------

DO NOT Channel Scan For Cable Tv Channels.

The Truth is.

Antennas are Beautiful and Handsome.

Know this.

Hiding antennas is a good way to get less reception.

------------------

Here is/are more facts and information.

As always , attics and the inside of buildings Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will Be a reception friendly environment.

The truth is.

The only way to discover if reliable reception will happen in the attic is to install a antenna in the attic.

The 1 advantage of the antenna in the attic , is the antenna will last a long time.

------------------

Most likely you are recommending the Antennacraft 5884 antenna because it is a All channel antenna that is designed to receive channels 2 thru 51.

Your reception location has receivable Tv channels in each of the 3 Tv channel bands.

VHF low band channels 2 thru 6.

VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

The Current UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

------------------

And the 5884 antenna is available at a local store.

Yes the 5884 antenna is a very good antenna for reception at your location.

------------------

I am not saying that reception will be difficult with the ANT751 installed outside in the clear of obstructions.

This is exactly what I was thinking.
Trying to find a good antenna for my area without over kill.

What would be your recommendation for an outside antenna??
