Help get ABC in Hartford.

I am new to this and very confused.

Here is my TVFool report.. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e779b9ea0a0927

I have two different antennas I can use..

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0027FGW3K/...0_M2T1_SC_dp_1

and

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tent=CT2032189

But I can not get ABC... I would really like to have this local channel. Should I be able to get it? Or will these antennas not work to get ABC?

Is there any indoor antenna I could use in order to get ABC? I can't get an outdoor one because I live in an apartment building.

Please help!!

The following is a Teleview recommendation for digital broadcast Tv reception

The flat antennas are not good antennas for Tv reception.

I say the flat antennas are made for only one reason , to transfer money from your pocket to some one else pocket.

The radio shack antenna with the 12 position "fine tuning' switch ,

What the 'fine tuning' switch does is connect the VHF channels metal reception rods and the UHF channels metal reception loop that is inside of the plastic housing , in different combinations as the switch is turned from one position to the next.

The down side is , it is next to impossible to find a switch position that will receive all channels with out changing the switch position.

If you have no choice but use one of the antennas , then use the radio shack antenna.

Put the antenna in a west facing window.

If required use a long coax to connect the antenna to the Tv.

Aim the antenna at about 250 degree magnetic compass direction , south west.

Here is how to aim indoor type antenna. http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

The rods of the antenna are extended and adjusted to a wide spread low vee position and aimed broad side at about 250 degree magnetic compass direction , south west.

As an example , extend your arms straight out from the sides of your body , move your arms up a little to make a low vee , now face the south west , aim the antenna the same way.

A much better indoor antenna to use is TERK HDTVi.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

The Tv Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
