Local station reception

I'm new to the forum and need help on antenna reception. I'm getting channels 25.1 & 7.1 ABC and Fox networks from my local station providers. My question is how do I get channels 14.1 & 44.1 NBC and CBS? On channel 25.1 that I'm getting I've got a signal of around 80-85 and channels I'm trying to get are just a couple degrees different than the one I'm getting now but I can't pick them up. Please tell me how to receive them and also how to post my info from my address check that shows my channel information. Thanks

You're getting two relatively weak stations and not the top two? What antenna are you using now? Do you have an amplifier? If you do, remove it or turn it off (don't unplug the power) and tell us what happened.

I'm using a HD Stacker antenna with a Winegard AP8700 Preamplifier. How do you remove or turn off the preamp without unplugging it? Thanks

Use a barrel connector to bypass the pre-amp.

Or, if there's enough slack, disconnect the coax from the output of the preamp and connect it directly to the antenna. What's happening is the two closest stations (WAZE and WKMA) are overloading the preamp, causing lots of distortion and extra noise over many channels that is wiping out most of your reception.

To properly assess what is possible without the preamp, rerun your report for the correct antenna height.
