Smile Highway 33 part of Ventura

Live on the highway 33 area towards Ojai, California in West Ventura. 500 foot hill. Currently using a Winegard GS 2200 with wing with RG-6 Coax. Thinking of upgrading. Looking for ideas. Also, with current antenna what stations would be expected with this antenna. Maybe not optimizing. Do get various stations at times depending on where the antenna is pointed. KNBC4, KTLA4, ION, KTBN, ION, KDOC, Telemundo, Telefutura, and some Korean and Vietnamese Stations. Not all at the same time, or in the same conditions.

At 200 feet:

Unfortunately, the 500' hill to the east of you is a very formidable obstruction. I think that unless you can afford some creative solutions, you are limited to reliable reception of only two stations.

Some technically sound suggestions were offered in your previous thread. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=1083

Possibly your neighborhood may have enough interest in OTA to be able to band together, forming a group that could afford to build a booster / repeater. The Red Mountain site (location of the CH6 & 23 transmitters) would be a location to consider given exiting tower installations and LOS from your location.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
