I see, but how does that work with the vhf antenna mounted on top of the short mast? I like the idea of the bearing, that makes a lot of sense for longevity and strength of the rotating mast.

That picture is what I have, I just have the lower mast up enough to put the VHF antenna.. I played with it today and I got 15 different stations and almost all of them have 2 or more channels.. The lowest station I got on the list was 19

Does the vhf antenna interfere with the other mast at all? It sounds like the mast would have to go through part of the vhf antenna

I does not interfere at all , but the rotor mast is right next to it..

It is a channel master, I got it at the time I bought the rotor.
