Antenna recommendation- Columbus, Oh

Here is my report:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...3e4784603066b1

I am looking for an indoor antenna that I can basically sit near the tv (or possibly mount out of sight behind the tv, if that is possible).

Thanks in advance!

ps. great website. my head was about to explode trying to research all this stuff.

Tv Antennas and Reception

As with so many others , here are 2 facts that you need to understand. Having a mind set of hiding antennas is , B , A , and D = BAD. The truth is that antennas need breathing room to receive Tv transmissions. And the number 2 fact is that having a amplified indoor antenna can make the reception worse. The Tv stations/channels at your location are Very Strong and can easy overload a amplifier. Here are Non Amplified indoor antennas , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=233. Aim the indoor antenna at about 235 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim indoor Tv antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html . Also read and understand this about , REAL Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Virtual Digital Broadcast Tv Channel , Analog Broadcast Tv Channels , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 . To receive the digital broadcast Tv channels , the Tv or tuning device will be set to search for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Not cables channels and Not Analog channels.

It's a two story house. Don't know if it matters, but the tv is located first floor with no floor above it.

The good house construction for indoor Tv antennas reception is wood frame with wood or vinyl siding and the flat non metalic composition singles on the roof. These next construction materials will reduce or block Tv reception. , Concrete , bricks , metal siding , metal roof , metalic composition singles , stucko Wire , solar panels , foil backed insulation.
