need help in NEPA

hello all and thanks in advance for any help. i cut the cable almost 2 years ago. netflix and hulu not cutting it anymore. i did some previous research. built a homemade hooverman antenna and mounted on previously installed satellite dish so i could use that cable to supply all 4 tvs in house. i get 9 channels. not many options. i want to go big!! but don't want to mount high about the roof. most stations i need are 50+ miles away. would like to continue using dish mount if possible or go with a bigger antenna in attic. like i said before any advise s appreciated. thanks again and here is my report. no antenna high specific in report.

The provided Tvfool report is not showing any antenna height above ground.

Do not delete this first provided Tvfool report.

3 Tv stations are in the Green reception zone.

The rest are Very Weak Signal Strengths , 1 in the Yellow reception zone and the rest in the Red reception zone.

To see how much signal strengths improve at higher antenna heights pleases make and post 2 more Tvfool reports with antenna heights at 25 and 40 feet above ground.

The Current Tv Channels that are Transmitted and Received in the , USA , Canada , Mexico , are.

VHF low band channels 2 thru 6.

VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

The tvfool channel list columns show the Real channels that are transmitted and received and the , (virt) virtual numbers.

The Type and Kind of Tv Antenna is Selected to Receive the Real Channels.

Your location has receivable Real channels in All 3 Tv Channel Bands.

The signal strengths in the Red reception zone do not start to improve until the 50 foot antenna height above ground.

So even at 50 feet antenna height above ground a Large All Channel Antenna is required for reception.

So at less then 50 feet antenna height above ground a Large All Channel Antenna is Still Required.

Installing any antenna in the attic be it large or small will Not provide reliable reception.

-----------------------

Above the Peak of the Roof at About 25 feet Or More above ground so that reception is not , obstructed , impeded , blocked , by the , attic , roof , building , in the direction of , South East.

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

HD1850 All Channel Antenna aimed at about 171 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone compass.

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

10G201 preamplifier.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the , HFS-2D , HFS-3D , HFS-4D , splitters at , http://www.hollandelectronics.com , or , http://www.amazon.com.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

Use the , ronard(911) , 5 foot tripod antenna mount.

Use the , ronard(4713-50-10) , 10 foot tripod antenna mount.

Use the , ronard(4560) , eave antenna mount.

Measure around the chimney and use a , ronard(2212) , ronard(2218) , ronard(2224) .

-----

Home Depot has , 10 foot 6 inch , 1 and 3/8 inch diameter , TOP RAIL , chain link fence , PIPE , that makes good antenna mast , the price is low at about 10 dollars.

---------------------

As Always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own , attic , roof , building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Practice for Reliable Reception is to install the HD1850 antenna at a Location that has the Least Amount to No Amount of Obstructions of Any Type or Kind in the Directions of Reception Including Your Own , Attic , Roof , Building.

The Winegard HD7084P would be a competing antenna to consider.
