I live in the Toronto area, and am looking for a good indoor antenna.

TV signal analysis results (http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d7fb969774fb600)

Right now, I'm trying out the Terk FDTV1A (http://www.amazon.ca/Terk-FDTV1A-Digital-Directional-Amplified/dp/B001UE8KUW/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t) with a Zinwell ZAT-970A. I get about 14 channels. If I'm reading the TV Fool report right, I should be able to get 21 using a set top antenna.

I thought by using this Terk antenna, I could mount it on the wall as high up as it will go and maybe get better reception.

Should I bother trying the Terk HDTVa (http://www.amazon.com/Terk-Amplified-High-Definition-Antenna-Reception/dp/B0007MXZB2/ref=pd_cp_e_0)? Or should I scrap it all, and just get rabbit ears?

Also, do you guys think I be using an antenna with amplifier?

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

I would not recommend use of any amplifier or amplified antenna.

The non-amplified Terk HDTVi would be worth your consideration.

An outdoor antenna will outperform an indoor antenna in almost every case. If reception of both local and US signals is a goal, a modest size outdoor antenna and rotator could be used. Let us know if you're interested.

That said , The Canada and USA tv stations Will Be received with a Winegard HD7696P antenna aimed at 188 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. . No rotor needed. . For one tv connection , on coax to the tv . For two tv connections use a simple common 2 way splitter. For 3 or 4 tv connections use a Channel Master CM3414 distribution amplifier.
