Western Colorado correction

I believe that the signal analysis for the area near Montrose Colorado is incomplete or incorrect. The location known as Waterdog Peak has a RMPBS (Rocky Mountain PBS) translator that broadcasts on virtual channels 18.1, 18.2, 18.3, and 18.5. It might be the translator that the TV Fool database shows as K61BR channel 33, virtual 61.1.

Whatever the actual ID of the translator, I can say that it does not broadcast as virtual channel 61.1 (61 used to be the analog channel for RMPBS in the area, hence the "K61BR" ID). It does broadcast as 18.1 and is PBS. The position of Waterdog Peak is 38°23′12″N 107°40′31″W. FWIW, I get no other digital TV signals from this location.

You are right that the transmitter is going by the callsign K61BR. We've updated the database to include the correct virtual channel and network affiliation.

FYI, these changes should take effect immediately on any newly generated reports.

• Channel 9 Ouray ceased broadcasting in analog in June and began broadcasting in digital in October.

•The Montrose Colorado transmitter for KREY handles both CBS and Fox.
