so here is my report:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d5b94dd2ad0fe71

i've been a cord cutter for around 2 years, all my tv comes from the internet. I'd like to receive sports on local broadcast.

I assume with my distance from the San Antonio TV station towers, i'm going to probably need a large amplified antenna. Don't really know what to get as far as that goes. My major problem is that my house is a single story house, shadowed by the one next door, which is two story. Mounting a tripod on my roof would require a very tall mast, and the front part of the house is the only area available. I've actually asked my HOA to allow me to put up a small tower in the very back of my yard (it backs up to a drainage greenway) so that I can mount the TV antenna on that. I don't expect they'll accept it, but I sort of told them it was that or the front of the house and cited the OTARD rule, nicely.

Guess what i really need to know is what i'm going to need to receive the normal stations (KSAT, KLRN, KABB, KENS, and WOAI). The tower i proposed was 20ft with a mast, so i could get the antenna almost 30' up if that goes through. My house has a feed for 2 TVs, and that is probably all I will need to send the signal to.

Thanks!
