I am looking for some help as to what antenna to buy and where to place it. I would like to get stations from the two nearest cities. One is north northeast and the other is to the south. Report link above.
I would also like to keep the antenna in the attic if possible. Otherwise on my eaves which is 20ft high. There is a mature tree on the other side(south) of my house.
If at all possible I would also like to get WB NS (10.1) which is to the east. (Browns Games).
Thank you very much in advance.
WBNS 10 is gonna be tough to pull in. You'll need some serious antenna to get anything reliable from it, from what I can tell. I'd suggest waiting to hear what some of the experts here say about it being possible.
What I can tell you is that you're wanting stations from 3 different directions. A good long range antenna on a rotor might be what you need. If a rotor doesn't suit your needs, you'll need a multi-antenna setup with an A/B switch.
Those channels to the NE are a piece of cake. A small UHF/VHF antenna could do it, like the ANT-751 or HD7000R. That much, I am pretty certain of.
The southern channels, besides being a fair distance away, have some terrain in the way. From your attic with a mature tree in that direction, odds are not in your favor for a reliable signal. You'll want something capable of going longer than the ones mentioned above, like a Winegard HD 7698P, or maybe an all UHF like the, Antennas Direct 43XG since no VHF reception required (if using an AB switch)
To go after all 3 directions on a rotor, you'd probably want the Winegard HD8200U. And it will want to be on top of the house.

WBNS -->Will Not<-- be Reliably Received with the antenna at 20 feet above ground.
To see if signal strength improves at higher antenna heights , make 3 more tvfool radar plot reports , 40 , 60 , 100 , feet antenna heights.

Antenna rotators Are Not channel surfing friendly , must wait for antenna to rotate , and there will be Domestic Situations about the direction the antenna is aimed.
