Hello everyone,
I am also moving away from cable and towards OTA TV. Here's my report :
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3dcc496e2870200b
I'd like to be able to aim at Mount Royal and get the main feed of channels you see located at 3.3 miles (should not be a problem) but also the channels you see in the 70-80 miles range (Vermont).
I am located at the top floor of a 3 story building and I already have a mast up there. I am thinking of installing a Channel Master 4228HD since I found a used one for 40$. Do you believe it's a wise choice? The wiring is already running from the mast to my TV set. I can also get my hands on a new Antennas Direct DB4e for 30$. I believe I might have to get some amplifier installed so suggestions are also welcome.
I am running a test tonight with a small indoor Terk unamplified antenna and I get a clear reception of about 9 channels. I'm sure I can do a lot better than that.
Any advice will be more than useful.
Thanks!
