Antenna Recomendations

Limited on placement of an antenna on roof.

Can put an antenna approx 20-25 ft above ground.

Any suggestions?

Can you explain what you mean by "Limited on placement of an antenna on roof"?

Would you prefer a smaller, lighter antenna (i.e. simplified mounting), or are there just a couple viable places you can mount it on the roof?

A Simple reception situation , Many Strong Signal Strength Easy To Receive Digital Broadcast Tv station/channels.

Above the roof install a ANT751 antenna with no preamplifier. aimed at about 270 degree magnetic compass direction , West.

http://www.solidsignal.com , has the ANT751 that comes with a J mount , $ Low dollars.

For 1 Tv connection use no splitter.

For 2 Tv connections use a common simple 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv connections use a common simple 3 way splitter.

How many Tv's are/will be connected??

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to locate the ANT751 antenna at a location the has the least amount to no amount obstructions of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

If you are facing 80' Douglas Fir trees (as many here in Western WA do), you'll need to consider going with a larger antenna. A Winegard HD7694P or 7696 comes to mind.

Here is the Federal Antenna Law that says Yes you can , Install , Use , Maintain , Tv antennas above the roof in such a manner that you will have reliable reception.

There are No Size Restrictions for Tv antennas.

There are No Placement Restrictions , You can not be required to hide the antenna.

You can install the antennas in plain sight.

Hoa's , Housing Coven-nuts , and etc. are well aware of this Federal Antenna Law and they are aware that they Must Comply with the Federal Antenna Law.
