Question Antenna and Amplifier

Hello,

I live in the Knoxville, Iowa area (50138). I recently installed a Terk HDTVo antenna in my attic and am mostly pleased with the reception. I am receiving 13 channels all from towers approximately 42-46 miles away. The only channels I am unable to pickup are WOI Channels 5.1 and 5.2 My question is, can I add a Channel Master Model 7777 to the HDTVo antenna and have a better chance of receiving WOI? Currently all other channels are at 26-29 (db) and 100% power.

Thanks Norb

No. The HDTVo already has an internal amplifier. the problem is the HDTVo is not designed to pick up channel 5, WOI's current DTV channel.

Your options for a low band VHF antenna include a CS-600, a Y5-2-6, or simply replace the HDTVo with a HD7015 or similar all channel antenna.

If the existing antenna only needs help on low-VHF, there is no need to replace the whole thing at considerable extra expense. Just add a low-VHF unit and combine the antennas using an HLSJ for half (or less) of the cost of a 7082.
