Which TV Antenna Should I Buy

Hi,

I would appreciate some assistance in regards to what type of antenna will give me the most channels. Here is my report from TVFool

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...99009ae0030f07

I would like to connect to my existing coax cable that runs to 3 different televisions and is hooked up to my direct tv dish and get rid of my direct tv, it's just to expensive for the few channels I normally watch.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, this is a project my Dad and I are going to install~
Thank You Joni

Tv Reception.

A simple reception situation.

Install a ANT751 antenna Above the roof aimed at about 300 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

http://www.solidsignal.com has the ANT751 antenna that comes with a J mount antenna mount.

For 1 Tv connection use no splitter and no amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a Channel Master CM3412 distribution amplifier.

For 3 or 4 Tv's connected use a CM3414 distribution amplifier.
__________

Do not use any of the Satellite , splitters , diplexers , etc. .
__________

Mount the ANT751 , Up High.

As always trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of , reflecting , reducing , blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

Install/mount the ANT751 where there is the least amount to no amount of obstructions of the directions , north west , west , south west.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.channelmasterstore.com.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, you obviously know your stuff. I'd love to know why, regarding your statement below is not possible since it sure would make life more convenient since I live in a 3 story home.

Thank you for your time~Joni

Tv Reception.

YES use the coax that is in place in and on the house to get the signal from point A to point B.

There Many variations of diplexers , splitters and satellite connection hardware.

To Avoid complications in hooking up the antenna and so forth.

It is best to avoid complications.

YES as in YES use the coax that is in place to get the antenna signal from point A to Point B.
