Antenna for Trenton, NJ - A NYC Challenge

So, let's open with the TV Fool report:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...46aef74878e841

I snagged a generic UHF/VHF antenna from RatShack a while back:
https://www.radioshack.com/product/i...tent=CT2032189

Put this up in my attic (the antenna is HUGE, but luckily a 1:1 pitched roof has a ton of space), and pointed it 44deg per the TV Fool report. The results are great, pulling in the Philly channels and even WNBC (UHF 28 - which I was going to write off). Even more amazing is I have a aluminum sided home, so I had to be careful to get at least a non-sided view to the north.

The problem child is WABC, VHF7. Can't get that for the life of me (too many signal dropouts). VHF 6 from Philly comes in sharp-and-clear (even with the antenna pointed @ 44deg), but I would prefer the NY affiliate for news. I'm wondering if a different antenna selection would be better for this, or do I have to go for an outside mount?

Anyone have some experience/suggestions?

You have a good antenna. I would be testing reception outdoors. My experience with attics is that they reduce the strength and quality (not necessarily a function of strength) of desired signals. Then to make matters worse, an antenna in the attic is almost always closer to electronic noise sources common to most homes.
