Tv antennas and Tv reception

Without braces on the J pole , The antenna Will Fall Over , http://forum.tvfool.com/attachment.p...8&d=1326042321 , It is recommended to use a Very Strong antenna mount. The HD7698P antenna is not cheap , If I were mounting the HD7698P antenna I would not cut corners on the mounting.

Ok, I'll need to get a new mount then.

So, when screwing the mount to the roof, what should you seal around the screws with?

If mounting on a Ronard tripod mount , the mount comes with tar pads that go under the feet and comes with lag screws.

I did notice that my satellite mount has two support brackets when I looked at it again, but I'm still not sure it would work because it's only 2-3 feet high and my roof has a very steep pitch, so getting a 14ft antenna on there would be tricky.

Is the Ronard mount you linked to (www.ronard.com/909911.html) able to accommodate a steeply pitched roof?

It's been a while since I've been able to even think about working on this, but it's finally time again. Here's a picture of the j mount that the dish is currently mounted to. Would this work for the antenna?

Ok, so I decided to go with a ClearStream 2V since I was able to get a fantastic deal on it. I just installed it tonight and have been able to get 9 channels, but can't seem to pick up CBS or Fox, despite picking up channels just as far away like Univision and MyNetwork. Any ideas?
