Antenna Selection Questions, Charlotte NC Area

Hello,

Here's a link to my signal analysis.

I currently have an antenna on my roof on the back of my house. As best as I can tell from the ground, it faces towards that line just to the east of true north... the line with the channels 23, 22, etc. It's a small antenna, Channel Master if I remember correctly, but I pick up the channels down to WAXN without issue. The WTVI and WUNG PBS's seem to come and go.

I'd like to purchase a better antenna to pick up at least those PBS's and perhaps mount it differently to maximize my reception, but to be completely honest overwhelmed by all of the information on this site.

What kind of antenna/advice would you all recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Tv Reception.

Install a ANT751 above the roof aimed at about 30 degree magnetic compass.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a Channel Master CM3412 distribution amplifier.

For 3 or 4 Tv's connected use a CM3414 distribution amplifier.

The antenna is connected directly to the distribution amplifier and the outputs of the distribution amplifier go out to the Tv's.

Tv antennas like elbow room.

Tv antennas receive the best when nothing is crowding in to reduce or block reception.

Trees and tree leaves do a great job of reducing and blocking reception.

Mount the antenna above the roof where there is the least amount of trees and tree leaves.

Other structures can reduce and block reception.

Mount the antenna at a location where there is the least amount obstructions to reception to the , north west , north , north east , east , south east.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.channelmasterstore.com.
