Antenna reccommendations

Ideally I would get a set-up to pull the network channels that are 60-80 miles at 9-10 degrees, but would settle for the ones at 44-50 miles 110-128 degrees. Better yet both. Is it possible and what would a recommended antenna set-up be. Would I need 2 to pull from the two different directions. any help would be great.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building.

The Best Practice for Reliable Reception is to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and building.

Reception of the signals to the north or west will require a bit of extra effort. I'd consider a second, separate antena system for DX'ing. The combination of an Antennas Direct 91XG + Antennacraft Y10713 + RCA TVPRAMP1R is a capable 'off the shelf' solution. A rotator would be useful for fine tuning aim as well as scanning the horizon for distant signals. A premium rotator such as the HyGain AR-40 is vastly superiour to any consumer grade option.

This type of system woulld need to be cabled separately from the main system used for local reception. Consider using an external tuner to terminate the 'DX' antenna system. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=2882

So I am really new to this, if I want to start with one antenna that would get 9,11,32,35,45 would it be the 91xg? or am I stretching the limits to try and get those?

any more feedback would be great.

The HBU44 antenna can be aimed by hand to the North at about 9 degree magnetic compass direction.

Rescan for Channels.

Most Digital Broadcast Tv Tuners have a , Signal Strength Meter , and some also have a , Signal Quality Meter.

Adjust antenna aim for best reception.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select and channel scan for.

Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air - Antenna Channels , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Antenna Stations/Channels.

DO NOT Channel Scan for Cable Tv Channels.

DO NOT Channel Scan for Only Analog Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

The 91XG is designed to cover real channels 14 and higher. It will not provide much reception of real channels 13 and lower, especially if they are weak. The Antennacraft HBU-44, HBU-55 and Winegard HD7698P are better suited to applications that have real channels ranging from Ch-7 up to real CH-51, and some or all are weak.
