Need some advice for an Antenna

I just cut the cord with my cable company and it feels great! I still get internet through them, but once I get this antenna thing figured out and installed, I am going on a quest to find cheap reliable internet.

So I have done some research and have found I am anywhere from 30 to 50 miles away from the transmitters. We live up on a hill, but we do have trees and homes near us. I was in Best Buy last night and they told me that where we live, there is no indoor antenna that will work. We bought a cheap RCA indoor one just to see if we could get a signal. After messing around, we were able to get 3 channels and that was it. That was only if I held the antenna in the top left corner of the window. As soon as I moved it, the signal was lost.

I am looking for some advice on antennas to look at purchasing and reliable places to buy them from.

Here is the link to the details of my location:

Thanks for the help.

If you are willing to consider outdoor mounting, you can have access to the full range of available programing.

I would have no shame using my roof top or chimney as the base for mounting an Antennas Direct DB8e facing south as a starting aim point and an Antennacraft Y10713 pointed at about 190° per a compass. Combine both antennas using an RCA TVPRAMP1R preamplifier.
