Antenna help request

Link to report: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...0b86c75f31907d

No existing antenna, this will go into a splitter for 3 TVs.

I'm mainly looking to get the major networks.

I can mount this on roof (or in attic). There isn't anything close that will block the direction it shows for the majority of channels (327 degrees).

Tv antennas and Tv reception

All of the Major Networks will be received and more , A Lot More. Instal a Winegard HD7698P antenna with a Winegard AP8700 preamp aimed at about 325 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. . Mount the antenna above the roof with one of these Strong and Sturdy antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com. Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.winegarddirect.com , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com . . Buy Ronard antenna mounts from SolidSignal or from Ronard.

Well ... apparently I struck a nerve with the wife when showing her that Winegard

What would be a good alternate recommendation for putting something in an attic? This is a north facing house, but thanks to a strange roof-line the widest open spot is on the south-facing side. Regular shingled roof, regular blown insulation.

Tv antennas and Tv reception

The reception signal strength is too weak at your location , a antenna mounted in the attic might not receive any tv stations. Mount this antenna , DB4e with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp above the roof. http://www.antennasdirect.com.Tv antennas are not evil. People have some real strange ideas about antennas.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to admit I was a little baffled at the WAF, really took me by surprise. I don't see the big deal of having an antenna on the roof, but, oh well.

I'll try out the antenna + amplifier and see what I get. I found a good place in the attic where I can get to the highest point (ironically, as I was hunting around I found another access point I never knew about).
