Market I am trying to get: Philadelphia, PA

BUT, I don't want to lose my Harrisburg/Lancaster locals.

Currently I get:
WLYH - 100%
WGAL - 90-100%
WHP - 100%
WPMT - 100%
WGCB - 100%
WITF - 90-100%
WPHL - 20-30% with dropouts
WPVI - 10-20% with dropouts
WCAU - 10-20% with dropouts

I really want to get WPHL, WCAU and KYW without any drop-outs; WTXF and WPVI would be a nice bonus - I don't care about WHYY or WPSG.

I would prefer to keep just one antenna.

Other notes:
I can raise the antenna 5 more feet if need-be
Switching preamps is an option if you think it would help. I do have an old Winegard AP-8275 around somewhere.
(I also have a Weingard LNA-100 lying around, it didn't seem to help any)

Your best bet would be to fall back to a very large, all-channel antenna, a heavy duty rotor, and use one of the two overload-resistant pre-amps you already have.

Philadelphia requires a whole lot more metal up in the air than a C2V can provide.

Which of my amplifiers/preamplifiers would you say is my best bet? I don't want to overload anything but do have a 75 ft. total run with a grounding block.

I have these:

Winegard AP-8275
Weingard LNA-100

Would an antenna like the Winegard MS2002 work better?

Is it worth it for me to go up 5 more feet?

TVFool tells me that if I go up 15 more feet I would still be "1 edge" and that my NM would actually go down???

Sorry for so many questions but I just moved here and thought this set up would work because it did when I lived about 5 miles away.

If you want Philly, think BIG. By BIG, I mean something 10-14' long and 8-10' wide. Aircraft carrier sized, in other words.

The RCA pre-amp would be your best bet. The 8275 is moderately easy to overload and the LNA100 isn't a pre-amp, it's an indoor-only amp.

How about a DB8 or DB8e with the RCA preamp?

How about my height? 10' or 15' or 25'? If I am buying a new antenna I'll spring for a new mast too if it will help.

Reliable reception of the Philly Tv stations is not about trying different types and kinds of small antennas.

The Current Tv Channels that are being transmitted and received in the , USA , Canada , Mexico , are.

VHF low band channels 2 thru 6.

VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

Your location has receivable channels in All 3 Tv channel bands.

Install a Big All Channel Antenna.

The Philly Tv stations are , At Distance , Are Weak Signal Strength , And have 1 and 2 Edge Path Obstructions = hills and mountains.

For reception of the Philly Tv stations install above the Peak of the Roof a , www.antennacraft.net , HD1800 All channel antenna aimed at about 115 degree magnetic compass direction.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

No antenna rotation with antenna rotator is required.

Directional antennas such as and not limited to the HD1800 antenna receive the best at the front of the antenna , a little less at front angles to the antenna , less at back angles to the antenna , less at the back of the antenna.
And receive the least amount of signal directly on the sides of the antenna.

With the HD1800 antenna aimed at about 115 degree magnetic compass , that will put your local Tv stations at angles to the antenna , the local Tv stations signals are strong at your reception location.

So most of the locals will be received.

The Only Way to Know how many locals are received is to install the HD1800 antenna and find out.

The HD1800 antenna Must Be Installed Above The Peak Of The Roof In Such A Manner That Reception Is Not , Obstructed , Impeded , Blocked , By The Roof And Building In All Directions.
