No more DirectTV. Antenna options

Hello,

I will shortly be cancelling Direct TV and going the Netflix/Antenna route. Below is the link from the TV Signal Analysis Results. The antenna will be upstairs (10 foot ceilings) with the cable routed downstairs to my "wiring closet" Will the extended cable create a weaker signal? Any recommendations on antennas would be great.

A simple reception situation that will receive the , Pending Applications Included Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels in the Green reception zone of the tvfool channel list down to and including , WZRB UHF Digital channel 47 , The CW.

WRJA-DT UHF channel 28 , PBS , is the exact same PBS as WRLK-DT UHF channel 32 , PBS.

WKDC-LD UHF channel 50 , is , Daystar Religion. WKDC will most likely be received.

The Digital Tv stations/channels in the Red reception zone to the north , on down the channel list will require a Big antenna a separate antenna , A separate antenna system , Winegard HD7698P antenna.

I recommend receive the easier to receive Digital Broadcast Tv stations /channels in the Green reception zone to the , south west , south east.

As always , the inside of buildings and attics Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will Be a reception friendly environment.
Signal attenuation , electric/electronic interference , multipath/reflections-signals bouncing all around.

The signal strengths of the Green reception zone are Strong signal strength at your location.

Yes start with a antenna in the building.

Install a Antennas Direct , Clear Stream 2 Complete , Vhf/Uhf antenna aimed at about 185 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

http://www.antennasdirect.com/store/...VHF-Combo.html.

For the best indoor reception put the CS2v Complete antenna in/at a window that is toward the south.

The signal strengths are Strong and should , easy , supply signal to 4 Tv's with no antenna system amplifier.

For 1 Tv connect use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a simple common 3 way splitter.

For 4 Tv's connected use a simple common 4 way splitter.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , do a good job of , multipath/reflecting , absorbing , blocking , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv reception and so do buildings and and other obstructions including your own roof and building.

It is best to install the CS2v Complete antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and building.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select , 'Air Channels' / 'Antenna Channels'.
