You are getting close to doing it correctly. What is needed is a Live and Active Radar Plot not a picture of the radar plot. Check out what the other question askers have done and post a radar plot like they have done. And as far as digiwave goes , no one here will recommend any of the cheap china antennas that are sub standard in every way. . Read what http://www.saveandreplay.com has to say about clone antennas.

Install a Channel Master CM3679 antenna , http://www.saveandreplay.com. Aim the CM3679 antenna at about 195 degree magnetic compass , Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html . Mount the CM3679 antenna above the roof. Also install a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp , saveandreplay now stocks the Antennas Direct , http://antennasdirect.com , CPA-19 preamp. Also use new RG-6 coax on the outside , standard RG-6 coax will be fine. No need to use quad shield coax RG-6 coax. Yes you can use quad shield if you decide to. For normal low interference reception situations , quad shield is not needed but yes you can use it if you like.
