Question Setup advice for Sask, Canada

I'm looking for some advice on setting up an antenna. Here's my info.

I would definitely want to receive CBKT and CKCK would be very nice to have. I don't care about anything below that. The street is lined on the north side with mature elms.
A few questions:
1) Could I get away with an attic installation (~10 ft high)? The signal strength (yellow) suggests that I can, but I'm more in the cyan-blue range on the map.
2) Which antennas would be best? I'd be willing to go with a VHF only model, but one with UHF might be nice when I move if I choose to take it with me.
3) Does anyone know where to buy a good antenna in Canada?

Thanks!

I recommend a VHF only antenna at your current location.

--->Above the Peak of the Roof<---> install a ,

http://www.antennacraft.net.

Y10-7-13 VHF antenna aimed at about 71 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how aim to antenna , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone , tablet or etc. compass.

--------------------------------

A antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required for , 1 , 2 , 3 , Tv's connected.

With the Y10-7-13 antenna installed above the roof clear of obstructions.

Thanks for the advice. What do you think my chances would be with a Y5713 in the attic, outside, or a Y10713 in the attic? I'm not thrilled with the idea of having a 10' long antenna on my roof..

Hiding any type or kind of Tv antennas in weak signal strength reception zones is a good way to have less reception.

The -->Only Way<-- to discover reception and the reliability of reception in the attic is to install the antenna in the attic.

Not being thrilled about large Tv antennas and not installing a large antenna in a weak signal strength reception zone that also has 2 Edge Path Obstructions=Hills and Mountains , is a good way to have less reception.

-------

As always you are free to choose any antenna and install the antenna at any location you choose.

Either antenna in the attic is likely to cause problems.
A Y5-7-13 on the roof should work fine but you may need a preamp.

Update for the archive. I ordered a y10713 from tdl canada along with a channelmaster balun. The antenna arrived promptly but the balun took several weeks.

I put the antenna up in the attic, resting on the insulation and hooked it up to 25' of rg6. I picked up 9 and 11 beautifully, and 8 is almost always good. 7 (analogue) is grainy but watchable so I'll probably just use that as a backup to 8 since it's the same feed. I might also mount the antenna to see if I get 8 more reliably, but overall I'm happy with the results. No luck on 13, but since it's a French channel, I don't mind.

Overall I would recommend trying an attic installation of a y10713 to someone in Moose Jaw to get the Regina channels.

I am curious , did you order and receive the Y10-7-13 antenna and other

components directly from TDL??

Or did the products come from one of TDL's , distributor/retail business sellers?? And if so which ones??

I got them directly from tdl. They normally only deal with retailers, but since they didn't have any in my area, they sold directly to me.

Very good , Thank you.

TDL has a lot of electronics and a lot electronics that are hard to find , all in one place.

When I contact TDL , I always tell them to sell directly to the general public.

--------------

I read reports of shortages of the CM94444 outdoor matching transformer in Canada due to the increasing numbers of people that are going OTA Over The Air , Broadcast Tv.
