Antenna Stacking / Ganging

Occasionally someone needs more antenna gain, directivity or increase in front to back ratio. It may be that they are in a deep fringe area, or they may be fighting co-channel or other interference. If they are close to getting a usable signal with one antenna, stacking or ganging antennas may give the needed pattern or gain improvement. Here are several links on the subject: , ,

Done right and with a bit of luck, stacking identical antennas can help in marginal situations.

Some theory:
If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
