A Simple Reception Situation.

A antenna rotator is not required.

Detroit and Toledo , Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels will be received.

--------------------------------

Above the Peak of the Roof install a HD1200 All Channel Antenna in such a manner that the , attic , roof , building , are not , obstructing , impeding , blocking , reception in the directions of , South East , South , North East , West.

http://www.antennacraft.net.

HD1200 All Channel Antenna aimed at about 45 degree magnetic compass direction.

---------------------------------

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a , cell phone , tablet and etc. compass.

As always , the antenna aim can be adjusted and the antenna location can be adjusted for the best reception.

Most Digital Tv's have a Signal Strength Meter and some Digital Tv's also have a Signal Quality Meter.

---------------------------------

Install a ,

http://www.antennacraft.net.

10G201 preamplifier.

---------------------------------

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the , HFS-2D , HFS-3D , splitters at , http://www.hollandelectronics.com , or , http://www.amazon.com.

--------------------------------

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

http://www.ronard.com/909911.html . Use the , ronard(911) , 5 foot tripod antenna mount.

http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , Use the , ronard(4560) , eave antenna mount.

http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html . Measure around the chimney and use a , ronard(2212) , ronard(2218) , ronard(2224) .

http://www.ronard.com.

-------

Home Depot has , 10 foot 6 inch length , 1 and 3/8 inch diameter , TOP RAIL , chain link fence , PIPE , that makes good antenna mast/pipe , the price is low at about 12 dollars.

---------------------------------

Also know this.

Trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and obstructions in the directions of reception including your own , attic , roof , building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

For Reliable Reception install the HD1200 antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own , attic , roof , building .

So now that the water is flowing again, it's time to figure out some TV!

So your locals would be pretty easy to pick up with an antenna that can get down to VHF-Hi. (Unless WLMB is of any interest, because it's a VHF-Lo.) An HBU-11 or ANT-751 would do a good job and be easy to mount on the house facing SE.

Going after Detroit will take some more metal and a really good line of sight to the NE. And even then, reception won't compare to the quality of the Toledo signals. Is there a particular Detroit channel you want? But before really looking into that, what's your plan for combining two antenna signals? You cannot just reverse them thru a splitter w/o degrading everything. You'd need a TV or tuner with dual coax inputs so you could switch as needed. If you are into computers as HTPC devices, then an HDHomerun would be perfect to seamlessly put the channels together with no impact at all.

Thanks for your reply, the boneheads at the water plant decided to add more chlorine after more than 100 people went to the hospital with diarrhea .I have been looking at that HD homerrun and pitching the cable box.As far as picking up Detroit,I was thinking about the RCA ant3038xr since I can get this at Menards for about $95.00.
