Not all that difficult if he is not in a wooded area, and can mount on or above his roof.

A Winegard HD 7694P with a 8700 amplifier on a rotor should produce some/most of the channels on his report. Buy these and choose the right mounts from www.solidsignals.com

Tv Antennas and Tv Reception

This recommendation is based on the Current and Pending Applications Included Digital Tv List of the tvfool radar report.

For a full line up of Tv stations/channels in one direction , 180 degree magnetic compass , NBC , ABC , CBS , PBS , Fox , The CW , MyNetwork , Antenna Tv , Religion. Aim a Winegard HD7696P antenna with a Winegard AP8700 preamp at about 180 degree magnetic compass (south).

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Mount the antenna above the roof with a antenna mount , here are some , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box or buy from ronard.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com , http://www.amazon.com.

No antenna rotator is required for the HD7696P antenna aimed to the south. Antenna rotators Are Not channel surfing friendly , Reason: wait for rotator to rotate antenna. And not everyone will agree where the antenna is pointed.

Thank You!. It looks like the 180 degree stations are all Fort Wayne networks with UHF. Will this antenna also pick up some VHF from the other markets if aimed at 180?

The Tv stations/channels at about 180 shows one VHF high band station WINM channel 12 , No the HD7696P antenna will not receive any VHF high band from other directions they are to weak of signal strength with out turning the antenna to face the stations.

Upon further evaluation it looks like the group of Tv stations/channels to the west at about 270 degree magnetic compass has a full complement of , NBC , CBS , ABC , PBS , FOX , MyNetwork , The CW , This Tv , Me-Tv , The Live Well Network , Religion.

The stations/channels are all UHF , and some are weak of signal strength , so install a Winegard HD9095P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp.

As for the 2 groups of Tv stations/channels to north west and north east , one station/channel is in the VHF low band WGVK channel 5 PBS. Install a Winegard HD7084P All Channel Antenna with a Winegard AP8275 preamp , aimed at 0 degree magnetic compass (north). All Tv channels are , 2 thru 6 VHF low band , 7 thru 13 VHF high band , 14 thru 51 UHF. Here are the receivable stations/channels , PBS , NBC , ABC , CBS , Fox , The CW , Religion.

If you look at your report you will find major networks located in all of the station groups.
There are many advantages to receiving multipul network stations from multipul markets, including a larger varity of sports franchises, news cast, and local programing. For as little as $75.00 a rotor can be added to your all channel system. allowing you to choose your stations. Even a clever two antenna system will not reliabily provide more than two markets. I have a tread called to rotate or not to rotate where I have shared some tuning tips and advantages, along with some reasons not to use a rotor posted by some who strongly dissagree with their use. It's your system you deside. 1/2 an antenna system may be enough for your friend.

. If the choice is made to use a antenna rotor , then use the HD7084P antenna with the AP8275 preamp and a Philips SDW1850/17 rotor.
