To help with the added expenses of our first child, my wife and I have decided to see if we can pull off cutting the cord from DirectTV. I've researched streaming devices and am trying to learn about OTA programming.
My tvfool report is not super promising -

The main channels we'd try to get OTA are FOX (my football) and CBS (her shows). Still learning about all the ways to improve reception so if someone would give a breakdown of what type of setup might pull this off, would be greatly appreciated!!
Also, can someone explain what those 'subchannels' that appear to have green reception strength are? When I type in their callsigns on rabbitears.info, it seems like they are affiliated with the bigger networks. Does that mean, for example, if I am able get good reception of K23FO-D, I would be able to get a clearer FOX signal than trying to pick up KPTH-DT? Thanks in advance!
