Feedback sought on my OTA TV Configuration

All,

I'm planning to build a 25' or more mast with the following hardware
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s02_i00
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00

Here's my map: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...cc49e5398f0796

I have these questions:
1. What is the type of wire to use to run from antenna to inside the house? Coax?
2. Min copper wire guage for the grounding wire (18, 20?)?
3. Any recommendations on Analog to Digital converter for my VCR and TV (older models) or do all A/D converters 'work about the same?
4. Comments on the hardware that I chose.

Any help would be appreciated. I know this business is black art but I'd like to increase my chances of success. For the best advice, I'll send them homemade, grown in CA, apricot or plum preserves made with minimal sugar.

Thanks in advance!

A Simple reception situation.

Many Digital Tv station/channels will be received.

Above the roof in such a manner that the roof or house does not block reception to the , north west , north , north east , install a Winegard HD7000R antenna aimed at about 4 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Or you can use any antenna mount that you choose.
_______

The Digital Tv transmissions are strong at your location.

No preamplifier is required.

For 1 Tv connection use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter.

Use RG-6 coax.

Walmart has a simple converter box . The RCA DTA800B1.

Here are some boxes that do more.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the HD7000R antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

The minimum gauge of copper wire is #10 , #8 is better.

The smaller the number the larger the diameter of the wire.

Home Depot , Lowes , etc. sell solid copper alloy wire that is made for grounding. It is a very hard copper alloy that is made to last a long time outside. And sell all manner of clamps and straps that are made for grounding.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.
