splitter problem?

First post here and user name says it all.

Cut the cable from my supplier in Morro Bay Ca. (Charter cable). Installed an RCA Ant 751 on the roof. The broadcast tower is only 10 miles away so the reception is good however there are very few channels to choose from.

My problem is that one T.V. receives more channels than the other T.V. The poor quality T.V. gets "poor" reception while the good one is excellent.
Any help/suggestions?

Thank you.

Could be splitter, coaxial cable, or the TV set itself.

Procure a single length of new coaxial cable with factory ends of a length sufficient to reach from the antenna to either set via a temporary run.

Test each set individually for reception and report results.
