I hear what you are saying. I can buy the Cv2 locally as I did the 751 and am returning it. I did that same temp setup with the 751 as the GE also with nowhere near as good results. I had read of people removing the reflector from the cv2 to allow signal reception from both directions That's why I had asked about it. But I had also read about having TOO much antenna so wasn't sure. As long as I can get the majors from one direction I don't really care if it's 2 or 3 north or south as long as I can get them. With the success of the temp attic mount setup I just thought I might be able to 'go for broke'.
Rainy morning probably no rooftop work for me until tomorrow(STEEP) I might go back out then and play with a compass and see what happens.
Still open to any and all suggestions on brands 2 vs 1 etc. from anyone willing to provide input.
