The Current Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels that are being transmitted and received in the , USA , Canada, Mexico , are.

VHF low band channels 2 thru 6.

VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

The antenna in the picture looks like typical All Channel Antenna.

Is the antenna damaged and broken??

If not damaged or broken.

Does the antenna have a matching transformer (balun) the connects to the antenna terminals and to the coax.

Is the matching transformer a separate device that is connected to the antenna??

Or is the matching transformer built in to the antenna??

If the matching transformer is Seperate.

Then replace the matching transformer with a New Matching Transformer.

You can buy the new outdoor type matching transformer at , Home Depot or Lowes.

As a Test of reception , connect a NEW Continues length of RG-6 coax that has the Compression type connectors on the ends of the coax.
To the new matching transformer and run the coax through a open door or window direct to the converter box.
And then direct to the LG TV.

Do not use any splitters or amplifiers for the Test of reception.

It is the , antenna , matching transformer , new continues length of coax, and converter box / Tv.

Digital Tuners can develop -Digital Glitches- that are not cleared out with simple channel scans.

To clear tuner do Double Rescan.

If the antenna is damaged and broken or you will like to install a New antenna.

Then install a , , HD5016 antenna and aim the antenna at about 290 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to to aim the old antenna or new antenna.

Here some places to buy antennas and and etc. .

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcat Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building.

Some and not All Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Tv Reseption.

Multi-Path Refletcing Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Practice is to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in directions of reception.

What is reception like now??
