Antenna amp or Distribution amp??

Hi all,
I am new to this but am having fun so far.
My situation north of Toronto:

I have installed a Digiwave ANT-2280, combo VHF/UHF antenna on a 10' mast with a 5' tripod on top of our house (about 40' overall).
The coax comes to a second floor bedroom where we get good reception, down to about NM 6.3dB on the list.
Then we go through two splitters and feed two other TVs on the main floor. That is where the signal becomes weaker and we are only seeing channels down to about NM 30dB.
We have way too much (existing) coax, about 200' or more in total.
I think an antenna amp or distribution amp could help. (BTW, what's the difference?) Can anyone suggest something?
Thank you all in advance.
This is a great resource!!
