I'm about 10 miles to your North, shooting around Bernardo Mountain, and getting everything but CW (CW has always been a problem).

Your LOS VHF stations are fine, so I wonder if you're too close to the shadow of your 1Edge. As a test, you could spin around to 328 and see if you fare any better. The other thought is to pull the surge protector and see if that helps. This of course assumes your antenna isn't pointing directly into a tree.

As an aside, if PBS is your goal, there are excellent PBS stations in LA. KOCE and KLCS should be doable, KCET is a sometimes, and KVCR is a roll of the dice. They all have subchannels, and play different programming at any given time.
