I don't know what the result will be but I am entertaining the idea of putting an identical pre-amps on each side of the HDB8X since it is actually two 4 bay antennas combined to begin with along with, (courtesy Pete Higgins post on Solid Signal website) possibly tilting it upwards about 5 to 10 degrees to see if there is a reliable skip off the atmosphere for some of these 80 to 100 mile out signals.
