You can use a formula to find the length of a halfwave or folded dipole.

It is 5540 divided by the frequency in MHz. The answer is in inches.

For example:

TV Channel 3 is 60 to 66 MHz
The center frequency us 63 MHz.

5540/63 = 87.9 inches
