I find the coverage maps useful at times (when looking for hill tops to go DX'ing on for example), but the TVFool Report for the individual location offers a more specific and more precise assessment of the situation.

Signals with predicted Noise Margins in the negative double digit range are simply out of reach in terms of reliable reception.

@ju2001, If you can afford a tower, TV Fool gives you the option to get a report based on antenna heights as high as 500'.
