Thanks teleview, unfortunately the unit only has windows facing north. I am in a concrete building surrounded by many other high rises. Also my unit is fairly close to the elevators.
It sounds more and more like I'm in an awful place for reception. Given that there are so many influences reducing reception, would it be better to get an amplified indoor antenna even though I'm so close to one of the main transmitters?
It's ironic, years ago I lived in the suburbs much farther away and I got excellent reception with a cheap pair of bunny ears for less than $10. Now that I'm close to the transmitters I have issues!
